The second generation of the sporty jeep Cayenne goes to the start: The new models are located starting from Saturday, 24 February 2007, in the sales rooms of the 86 German Porsche centers. Owing to newly developed engines with gasoline direct injection they are characterised at the same time by a higher achievement and a lower fuel consumption. In material driving savings are over up to 15 per cent possible, accordingly sink also the CO2-Ausstoss.
All Cayenne models are in series equipped with the Porsche Stability management (PSM) with brake assistant, further developed bottom plate stabilization as well as Offroad ABS. Beyond that the vehicles can be equipped also with the again developed Wankstabilisierung Porsche dynamic chassis control (PDDC), the side inclination of the vehicle in curves limited.
After Porsche of the predecessor series sold more than 150,000 units, Bernhard Maier, Geschäftsführer the Porsche Germany GmbH, is confident to tie with the new Cayenne models to this success: “Although our customers know the vehicles so far only from test reports, have we already more new orders than ever before with a model change. We are convinced that the new Cayenne will lend additional impulses to our business in Germany.”
In Germany the basis model costs, the stronger S-version 66.610 euro as well as the Topmodell Cayenne turbo 108,617 euro (inclusive value added tax) to 51,735 euro.
